Climate:
With an average annual high temperature of 85 degrees and average annual rainfall of only 7.66 inches , Phoenix offers residents and visitors more than 300 sunshine filled days each year. October to April provide warm sun drenched afternoons (mid 60’s to mid 80’s) and cool nights with an occasional thunderstorm.
Summer temperatures, often above 100 degrees, are made more bearable by the low humidity.

Population:
The nation’s fifth-largest city with a population of nearly 1.4 million (and 3.5 million in the Greater Phoenix area), Phoenix is one of the three fastest growing cities in the country.

Home of the NBA Phoenix Suns, the NFL Arizona Cardinals, the MLB Arizona Diamondbacks and the NHL Phoenix Coyotes, Phoenix is a sports lover’s paradise. From April 2004 to 2005 over 63,000 new jobs were added to the Phoenix metro area. This four percent increase made it one of the top job growth areas in the country. Unemployment rates in the Greater Phoenix area, averaging 4.2 percent, are well below the nation average of 5.1 percent. Health care, professional services, construction and tourism are among the high growth industries in Phoenix.
